Seminar: Intranets and Extranets October 2008

SharePoint 2007 Seminar Series

Tuesday, October 21, 2008

Join us for this informative series of seminars dedicated to exploring the many features and benefits of Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 (MOSS).

Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 is an integrated suite of server capabilities that can help improve organizational effectiveness by providing comprehensive content management and enterprise search, accelerating shared business processes, and facilitating information-sharing across boundaries for better business insight. Office SharePoint Server 2007 supports all intranet, extranet, and Web applications across an enterprise within one integrated platform, instead of relying on separate fragmented systems.

In this seminar we will show you how four progressive public and private sector organizations: Cadillac Fairview, CAMH, Citi, and Compass, have used SharePoint to create public facing websites, intranets and extranets to meet their demanding business needs.  We will be showcasing Envision IT's exclusive add-on to SharePoint 2007 for Extranets, featuring:

  • Easy web-based account creation and security setup by non-IT staff
  • Automatic emailing of account credentials and Extranet details to Extranet users
  • Password change management and lost password retrieval for end-users
  • Enumeration of sites which a user or group can access

We'll demonstrate how the SharePoint infrastructure helps organizations create rich, interactive intranets and extranets that allow for secure, enhanced communication and collaboration with external stakeholders including suppliers, vendors, partners, customers and other businesses.
